How to generate strong passwords

This guide will show you how to generate strong passwords for all your online accounts using ExpressKeys.

ExpressKeys can generate strong passwords that are long, randomized, and complex, making them difficult for attackers to crack. You can determine the length of your generated password, and can also specify whether you want the password to include capitals, numbers, or symbols.

Once you have generated a password, you can save them in your password manager and fill them with just a click or tap when signing in to your accounts.

ExpressKeys for Android

There are multiple ways to generate strong passwords within ExpressKeys for Android. You can generate strong passwords when creating a new login or when editing an existing login.

Generate a strong password for a new login

To generate a strong password within the ExpressKeys app:

1. Open the ExpressKeys app.
2. Unlock your password manager.
3. Tap .
   
4. Tap Logins.
   
5. Under the Password field, tap Need a new password?
   
   
6. Once you are happy with your password, tap Use This Password.
   
7. Fill in the other details, then tap Save.
   

To generate a strong password when creating a new account on a website or an app:

1. Before proceeding, make sure to enable autofill in the app settings.
2. Go to the login screen or page.
3. Tap the username or password field.
4. Tap the keyboard or dropdown button Add New Login.
5. Under the Password field, tap Need a new password?.
6. Tap Save & Fill.

Generate a strong password for an existing login

1. Open the ExpressKeys app.
2. Unlock your password manager.
3. Tap the Logins widget.
   
4. Tap the login you want to generate a password for.
   
5. Tap Edit.
   
6. Under the Password field, tap Generate strong password.
   
7. Once you are happy with your password, tap Use This Password.
   
8. Tap Save.
